Spring view, privacy predominate. Listing begins this March, hence my photos reveal present time, thanks to the Sellers we are able to see a spring photo.
You'll be grateful for each day, for the morning skies fill the home with a ever changing canvas.
Each bend in the hard packed sand and gravel road, to this every so private home, reveals changing terrain and wildlife.
The county aerial shows just how close Metompkin Bay is. The second home site is just to the south. The county free boat ramp and temporary tie up dock is a bike ride away.
Clever renovation to this home was expanding the square footage by the addition of this room, where a dining area and sitting area exist with amazing views. 7' x 23'.
" The ceiling heights allow this home to feel quite spacious.
The variation of textures, from the wood floors, smooth walls and the record wall, all opening to the views, sparks ones interest straight away.
Embedded in the record wall once the original wood stove vent, a real porthole with a vessel under sail and a dolphin jumping along side, so clever.
While being just 10 x 12, a proper chef will find this kitchen convenient and well equipped with its marble floors, bright and charming.
The backsplash is license plates from every state. You'd think that might be a bit much, yet with the simple clean lines of the cabinetry and the marble floors, fit in perfectly.
The antique ladder works quite well as the cup holder.
One of the two bedrooms. Rather like the height of the windows, provides privacy and more wall space. So gently used. The electric baseboard heat, while rarely used is new.
Additional view of the room above.
The 2nd bedroom. The entire house seems quite new, clean and bright.
The full bath has had no changes, for lovely as is.
The gararge is 23.5'x 31', neat as a pin. Here is the information that Sellers provided. ". New architectural shingles 2005. Upgrade 200 amp electric, new baseboard heat 2006. New low-flow toilet 2007. New ceiling fans 2010. New flooring in living room, kitchen, and sun porch 2010. New front door and screen door 2013. New garage door 2014. New railing, sliding glass doors, cedar shake siding and vinyl window sashes.
This deck spans the back elevation and front elevation of the home. The Cedar shingle siding blends so well with the enviorment. The Seller did not like the appearance nor the maintenance of drain gutter, so being such a cleaver lad, installed heavy guage corrugated metal just where water would drip on the siding.
Just pass the line of trees is Metompkin Bay. No worries the land in this view can never be built upon according to our county regulations. Thank you.
The corvex of this photo is a wee view of the Bay.
The Sellers are really quite content, but more children force the move, here is what they say why they love this home & property. "Surrounded by nature within a nice quiet community. We can watch the sunrise over the water from our sun porch. The wood stove makes the home nice and cozy all through the winter. On a peaceful starry night there is nothing better than sitting on the porch listening to the waves crash and the breeze rustle through the trees. We are 1.5 miles from a boat ramp and dock. The barrier islands make for an incredible beach experience."
Not another house in site. There is amble parking on the home site.
Certainly enjoyed listing this property, leaving now.
The entertainment did not end for a flock of snow gheese put on quite a show.
I began to feel part of this land as comrades of the wildlife, for you must drive slow.
